WE NEED YOUR HELP

Baby and Me currently needs more volunteers to step forward and help with the running of the group - without volunteers the group will not continue!

There are many different ways that you can help with the running of the group so if you feel you would like to help out in any way, or just find out more about what is involved, please speak to any member of the current committee.

How can I help?

Set up -  If you can spare some time to help set up before the session it would be greatly appreciated. If you can commit to helping on a particular week there is a rota that you can put your name down on - this would be wonderful.

Clearing away - We only have the Hub booked until 11.30am each week and so begin clearing away about 11.20am. If you can place any cups on the counter and help to put away toys and chairs we would be very grateful.

Joining the committee - There are a variety of tasks that the committee fulfils:

• Planning and booking guest speakers, tasters, and events.
• Advertising the group’s activities and events.
• Managing the finances, banking the money after each group, dealing with expenses.
• Being Friday leader; setting up hall, putting out mats, chair’s and toys. Serving drinks and biscuits. Tidying away.

These tasks are grouped together and may seem a little daunting but, as with a lot of things, once they are shared amongst a small group of volunteers are easily managed!

What will I get out of helping?

• Feeling part of a group and the wider community.
• The chance to meet other mums and make friends.
• The knowledge that you are directly keeping a valuable group going for yourself and others.
• The ability to have a say in what happens, e.g. events, new purchases.
• It will look great on a C.V. when the time comes to return to work from maternity leave.
